上世紀(jì)七十年代，青島姑娘臧健和（馬麗 飾）帶著兩個(gè)女兒被迫流落他鄉(xiāng)。為了維持生計(jì)撫養(yǎng)女兒，臧姑娘白天洗碗，晚上擦車。無依無靠的她獨(dú)自一人扛下重重壓力，為沖破命運(yùn)的束縛，臧健和決定賣水餃謀生。從無人問津到門庭若市，身邊嘴硬心軟的紅姐（惠英紅 飾）、華哥（朱亞文 飾）、糖水伯（袁富華 飾）都給予了她不少力量。堅(jiān)持不懈的她把水餃生意越做越大，人生之路也越走越寬……
